Experience shows that the installation of WASH infrastructure is not enough to guarantee that people really use it. All over the world, you can find unused toilets, scarcely used safe wells, and handwashing stations out of order. We analyze the psychosocial and contextual drivers of not using the infrastructure and develop interventions focusing on exactly these drivers.
